Coverings 2007
Chicago posts 37,000 attendance

Registered attendance jumped to nearly 37,000 for the four-day Coverings 2007 tile and stone exposition and conference at McCormick Place Convention Center in April, representing an increase of 8 percent over last year. The sharpest spike in attendance numbers was among architects and designers, which skyrocketed 87 percent. Read More

Chicago-area stone contractor adds Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle to his collection

Keith E. Hinshaw, a Chicago-area stone contractor who last month attended his fourth consecutive Coverings show, won the 2007 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle in a random drawing the final day of the tile and stone expo. The motorcycle giveaway, valued at $17,000, was sponsored by the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) and Alibaba.com, the world’s largest online B2B marketplace for global trade. Read More
