December – and beyond – at TileWorks of Bucks County

TileWorks is in the thick of the holiday season — and looking ahead at 2026. Here are a few things on the calendar to attend or plan for this season– and beyond.

Living with Craft, celebrating the meaningful role that craft plays in shaping our living environments. An installation of classic Moravian tiles made by the TileWorks team will be showcased in the exhibition at Wayne Arts Center. This exhibition is running in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of CraftForms, an international juried exhibition of contemporary fine craft.

We are proud to have been invited to participate in this event, grateful to make connections with fellow stewards of the arts in our region, and excited to showcase the fruits of our labor.

TileWorks Holiday Open House | December 20

We invite you for a free tour of the TileWorks on Saturday, December 20th, from 10AM to 4PM. Our Big Room will be decorated to invoke the spirit of Christmas past. The table will be set for a Henry Mercer traditional holiday meal. Take home a recipe card of his favorite Christmas cookies. Watch our artisans as they make our heritage tiles. They make a great, local, hand made gift for your loved ones this holiday season.

A Night of Song | January 23

Stage United and TileWorks present A Night of Song on January 23rd in the Big Room at The Moravian Pottery and Tile Works. This is a celebration of powerful hand-crafted songs from artists near and far. The event features Birdie Busch & William H. Travis with guest host Joe Montone, and small plates by Chef Dan Gallo of Thyme & Plate. Curious how you can support A Night of Song? Email: [email protected]

Can’t make it in January? Mark your calendars for Feb 20, March 27, April 24 to enjoy future nights of song at TileWorks.

Shop at the TileWorks: Annual Holiday Ornament

TileWorks’ 4th Annual Holiday ornament is inspired by an original sketch by Henry Mercer himself, and adapted by the TileWorks team into a cuenca style tile. “Santa” is produced at our historic tilery and is individually hand-painted in our Heritage glaze colors.

Last month: November happenings

Painting with David Stier: A good-spirited and productive weekend with great weather and good light blessed our drawing and painting workshop this November. After our morning lecture and discussion, participating artists discovered a wide mix of subjects both indoors and out, producing compositions in both charcoal and oil paint. We look forward to hosting another master class with David Stier this spring and hope to see familiar faces.

Thanksgiving Celebration: TileWorks 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Eve Party (and Peter’s 45th) delivered an incredible night of music and good times.

Starting off the night, Chris Harford’s Band of Changes comprised of Dave Dreiwitz of Ween and JRAD on bass and Bob Steeler of Hot Tuna on drums. In a serendipitous turn of events, they were joined on stage by fiddle virtuosos Jason Carter & Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, as well as banjo picker Mark Delaney of Danny Paisley and Southern Grass.

The crowd was treated to a rare duo set from Jason and Bronwyn, followed by a powerhouse two-hour performance from Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass, with Jason, Bronwyn, and Josh Gooding joining in for an unforgettable final hour.We are excited to see the line up for BlueGrass at TileWorks 2026 on June 28th, July 26th, and September 27th.
