For more than a century, the tiles made at the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works—home of the annual TileFest event—have told stories about places, people, and craft traditions passed down through generations. And Tile Heritage Foundation has been a major sponsor for this event.
Tile making has been a tradition in America since the mid-1870s. American tile makers are “stewards of clay” and part of the “Stories in Clay” tradition that TileFest celebrates, weaving artistry into single tiles or elaborate installations throughout the country for present and future generations to embrace.

The 26th annual TileFest in Doylestown, Pa., is taking place May 16-17, 2026, at the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, aka The TileWorks of Bucks County. Tile Heritage Foundation has been a cheerleader of this event since its beginning. It supports and sponsors TileFest and honors the tile makers.
Not everyone from across the country can attend in person—but tile makers’ work CAN be represented there this year again! Tile makers and artisans are invited to donate one or two beautiful, distinctive tiles to be sold at the event to help support the Foundation as well as TileFest itself.
Makers can donate their tiles to Tile Heritage or indicate on the tile donation form that they’d like to receive back 40% of the selling price.

Since its inception 39 years ago, Tile Heritage Foundation has served as the keeper of the “tile traditions in America—your stories in clay.” As a maker and Foundation member, you are a contributor to that history, holding an integral place in the Tile Heritage Foundation Archives for posterity.
