In a conversation with TileLetter, Nash noted that the segment, filmed about four months ago, includes discussion about LATICRETE’s core values, and being good stewards in the world. “We talked about LATICRETE being a family business and how an American family business of our size is rare, since they are usually publicly traded or bought by a bigger company. So we discussed what it’s like to be part of a privately-held company of our size. ”
Nash said the segment also explores modern methodologies of construction like 3D printing of buildings and how beneficial that can be in struggling countries and communities. “Of course, we talked about the challenge of labor,” he added.
Nash said they also addressed art in the conversation – “That tile is an artisan trade — more art than science,” Nash said. “It’s important for me personally that we provide technologies that enable beautiful construction. In buildings made of glass and steel, we are that punch of color and beauty. I am proud to be part of that.”
