Materials and Methods Standards Association opens call for speakers for 2026 Technical Conference at Tile Solutions Plus

The Materials and Methods Standards Association (MMSA) has officially opened a call for speakers for the 2026 MMSA Technical Conference, to be held in conjunction with Tile Solutions Plus November 1–3 in Miami, Fla.

Following the strong engagement and momentum generated by the inaugural event, MMSA is expanding its technical programming to further support alignment across materials, methods, and performance expectations in the tile and stone installation industry.

The MMSA Technical Conference is designed as a collaborative forum where industry professionals can share data driven insights, practical knowledge, and emerging concepts. Unlike traditional conferences, this event is structured to bridge the gap between technical development and field application.

The event is not limited to scientists or laboratory professionals—MMSA encourages participation from installers, contractors, manufacturers, and tile producers to present on real world applications, jobsite experience, and practical knowledge that drives results in the field.

“There is an incredible depth of knowledge across this industry, from lab work to jobsite execution,” said MMSA President Dale Kempster. “Bringing those perspectives together in one place is essential if we want to continue advancing standards, improving performance, and ultimately pushing the industry forward.”

MMSA is seeking presenters across a wide range of subject areas, including:

  • Technical developments in materials and systems
  • Sustainability initiatives and environmental considerations
  • Installation methods and field best practices
  • Testing methodologies and performance validation
  • Emerging technologies impacting the industry

Industry professionals interested in presenting are encouraged to submit a topic and brief synopsis. Presentations must be educational and technical in nature; submissions that function primarily as product promotions or direct sales pitches will not be considered.

The conference will include technical presentations, committee collaboration sessions, and open discussions focused on solving real challenges and improving industry consistency.

About the Materials and Methods Standards Association

The Materials and Methods Standards Association (MMSA) was created to establish industry standards for all materials in common usage in the ceramic tile trade, not just a few made under a license agreement. Representatives of MMSA are members of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A108 Committee, the Tile Council of America Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installation Committee, and the Marble Institute of America design manual committee. All members of MMSA share non-secret technical data and participate in a free exchange of problems and solutions for the betterment of the tile trade. Any corporation, firm, or individual engaged in both the manufacture and sale of products of the industry is eligible for regular membership, and the number of members is unlimited.
