Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) has announced the winners of its 2026 edition. Thousands of projects, firms, and products were entered from 92 countries—up from 72 in 2025—across the Architectural Design, Firm of the Year, Architectural Products, and Architectural Photography programs.
Now in its 11th edition, AMP recognizes design excellence in architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture across nearly 50 categories, judged by an international jury of practicing architects, designers, critics, and academics. Entries are judged on design excellence, originality, function, and sustainability, and the highest-ranked work in each category receives the Best of Best distinction.
From that group, the jury selects the year’s top titles and the Firm of the Year awards.
“This year’s top awards went to a presidential library that disappears into its landscape, a timber office for a wind-energy company, and a park that cleans Bangkok’s water,” said David Teravagimov, Managing Director of Architecture MasterPrize. “They are very different buildings with one thing in common: each gives something back to the place it stands in. That entries now arrive from more than 80 countries tells us the program has become a genuine point of reference for practices of every size.”
Architectural Design of the Year
The top honor goes to Snøhetta for the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, N.D. Sited along a bluff edge in the Badlands, the building slopes to meet the land beneath a walkable, planted roof that opens toward Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Architects, landscape architects, and ecologists shaped the site and the building as a single work.
Interior Design of the Year
Montreal practice Atelier Carle challenges traditional medical clinic design with OAKV. One skylight, one tall hall, and a lot of walnut turn a dark Oakville office unit into the year’s most composed interior.
Landscape Design of the Year
Benjakitti Forest Park, a project by Arsomsilp Community and Environmental Architect with Turenscape, turned a former tobacco factory site in central Bangkok into an ecological park with wetlands that store monsoon rain, a new urban forest, and skywalks that open the whole site to the public.
Sustainable Design of the Year
Windkraft Simonsfeld AG’s Expansion Headquarter, by Juri Troy ZT GmbH, is a timber-framed office extension in Austria with a rammed-clay core.
