ARTO and Allison Eden Studios collaborate on Palm Royale line

Southern California-based ARTO, renowned for its hand-crafted artisan tile products, is excited to announce a unique collaboration with decorative artist Allison Eden. This partnership brings Allison Eden’s distinctive artwork to ARTO’s LA-based manufacturing facilities, where the tiles will be produced with the same meticulous care and attention to detail that defines ARTO’s craftsmanship.

Palm Royale is an exciting new collection collaboratively developed by Allison Eden Studios and ARTO. This collection seamlessly blends Allison Eden’s distinctive mosaic designs with ARTO’s artisanal ceramic tiles, embodying the elegance and spirit of Vintage Palm Beach. The collection was launched recently at Boutique Design New York (BDNY), a major trade fair and conference for the hospitality design industry.

The collaboration began when Armen Alajian, co-owner of ARTO, discovered Allison’s dazzling mosaic work at the Coverings Show many years ago. Drawn to her fearless use of color and whimsical design sensibility, Alajian saw an opportunity to marry ARTO’s hand-pressed ceramic artistry with Allison’s high-energy aesthetic. Together, they reimagined ARTO’s signature glazes on high-fired ceramic tiles, infusing them with vibrant, sun-soaked colors and patterns evocative of Palm Beach’s iconic coastal chic.

“Arto’s unique ability has always been to satisfy the customer with cool products,” said Alajian. ARTO handcrafts its productions using local materials and traditional methods at its factory in Gardena, Calif.

Allison Eden is a Brooklyn-based artist and designer celebrated for her vibrant, kaleidoscopic glass mosaics. After a chance encounter with colorful glass, she switched from a career in fashion to open her own studio in the 1990s, where she began creating custom mosaic art. Her company, Allison Eden Studios, has grown over the past three decades, with her work now featured in high-profile hotels, casinos, and residences worldwide. Known for custom, hand-cut designs and quick turnaround time, the studio has expanded beyond mosaics into textiles, home goods, and even a fashion line. Allison Eden has collaborated with leading architects and designers, cementing her reputation as a prominent artist in the design world.

Palm Royale collaboration

Each tile in the Palm Royale collection is made from materials sourced and produced in the USA, a testament to quality craftsmanship and local production. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this collection is designed for durability and can be seamlessly integrated into future renovations. With a variety of new colorways and patterns and the ability to integrate with the existing ARTO product line, this collection gives designers and homeowners endless possibilities to create modern, expressive spaces with a timeless foundation.

The ARTO × Allison Eden partnership directly challenges the minimalist and neutral design trends that have long dominated the market. By introducing a collection of vibrant, bold tiles, this collaboration has the potential to shift future design directions toward a more daring use of color, pattern, and personality in both residential and commercial spaces.

“Palm Royale is a love letter to the golden age of Palm Beach,” said Eden, founder and lead designer of Allison Eden Studios. “I wanted to bring back that breezy sophistication of the 1960s and 70s—think tropical palms, retro cabana stripes, bold pastel hues, and playful poolside patterns that makes every space feel like a resort escape.”

The Palm Royale collection is available through Arto or one of Arto’s showrooms, which can be located at arto.com.
