[Los Angeles, CA] – Arto, a California-based leader in handcrafted ceramic and concrete tiles, is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Grajeda as its new Head of Sustainability and Product. In this role, Grajeda will spearhead sustainability initiatives, oversee product development, and work cross-functionally to ensure Arto’s designs meet—and exceed—industry standards.

Grajeda brings over a decade of experience in product development, procurement, and operations within the tile industry. Her journey began as a purchasing assistant, where she cultivated a passion for the technical and artistic aspects of tile manufacturing. Over the years, she has managed large inventories, resolved complex quality issues, and helped create custom product solutions—experiences that will inform her approach to integrating sustainable practices at Arto.

In her new role, Grajeda will focus on establishing clear sustainability metrics, developing educational resources for customers and partners, and exploring eco-friendly materials that align with Arto’s creative vision. She aims to provide architects and designers with the documentation they need to confidently specify Arto’s products, ensuring the company remains a leader in both craftsmanship and environmental stewardship.
