Cersaie 2025 to host the tile installation sector in Hall 19

Cersaie 2025, taking place at the Bologna Exhibition Centre from September 22-26, will host the world of tile installation in a new, larger and more dynamic space.

The completely refurbished Hall 19 is devoted entirely to sector companies and events. More than 5,400 square meters of exhibition space (+35%) is fully sold out. This includes 830 square meters for Tiling Town (+40%) and for the installation showcase area organized in collaboration with non-Italian installers, which has more than doubled this year. This new exhibition space is strategically located close to the main Piazza Costituzione entrance. The entrance is is primarily used by international visitors, and will be clearly marked to help visitors find their way around. Hall 19 will also feature a new restaurant/bar, a hospitality area for Italian and international tile layers, and a lounge with multimedia information kiosks open to all attendees.

Tiling Town: 13th edition

But the real highlight of the hall will be the thirteenth edition of Tiling Town organized by Assoposa, the Italian Association of Ceramic Tile Installers and Retailers which works closely with industry professionals and promotes Tile Layer Certification in accordance with Italian standard UNI 11493-2. A large area will be devoted to the association’s training hub, the Assoposa Academy, featuring daily showcases of innovative installation techniques by master tile layers as well as an exhibition of tiled spaces. Each day, the conference area will host technical seminars on large ceramic slab installation, where attending architects, engineers and surveyors will be able to earn professional training credits.

Casa Radio, live from Tiling Town

The radio station Casa Radio (www.casaradio.it), which specializes in the world of living and interior design, will be back again at Tiling Town with a dedicated booth and will feature a packed program of live interviews with guests covering a variety of topics on each of the five days of the show. This year, three conferences will be held at 11 a.m. from Tuesday to Thursday on specific topics related to the construction industry, ranging from workplace safety to tile installer certification and the promotion of ceramic products through installation.

Info on training opportunities for ceramic tile installers

A large space will be devoted to Formedil (the Italian national body for training and safety in construction), which will have an information desk to provide updates on the latest training opportunities offered by Italian building schools, especially those aimed at ceramic tile installers and organized as part of an agreement between Formedil, Assoposa and Confindustria Ceramica. As part of an initiative organized in collaboration with seven Italian building schools (Cuneo, Turin, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Viterbo, Rome and Brindisi), 4 to 6 students will be invited each day to the Formedil demonstration area to gain hands-on experience in handling, preparation and installation of ceramic surfaces under the guidance of a master tiler from Assoposa.

Cersaie World Tiling Lab hosts installer teams showcasing their skills

One initiative attracting a great deal of interest is the Cersaie World Tiling Lab, a more than 200 square meter area where four teams of young tile layers from Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Brazil will showcase their skills in creating four ceramic-tiled settings: a bathroom with a shower niche, an outdoor area, a living space with a staircase and an exterior façade complete with French windows, windowsill and raised floor. This initiative follows the two highly successful previous events – Young Installers at Cersaie in 2023 and Bathroom Tiling at Cersaie in 2024 – and is jointly organized by Cersaie, Confindustria Ceramica, EUF (European Union of National Tile Associations) and the individual tile fixing associations of participating countries.

Last but not least, leading tile installer associations from Europe, the United States, Canada, Morocco, Brazil and the UK will meet to discuss the most urgent issues concerning tile installation and installer training.
