Last fall, NAC Products earned the “Clean Air GOLD Certification of Building Products,” from Intertek Testing Services, certifying that all NAC sheet membranes, NAC TAC II primer and SubSeal® Liquid Waterproofing Membrane conform to California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method v1.2: Private Office, School Classroom and Single-Family Residence and contain little to no VOCs.
This designation has been updated to include single-family residence as well, expanding the certification for NAC membrane systems.
“We’ve seen a dramatic shift from commercial construction to single family and multi-family projects over the last year,” says Brian Petit, President of NAC Products. “The addition of the single-family residence designation further cements our membrane systems as a safe and effective solution, especially for sound control and waterproofing in the residential sector.”
The updated certification indicates the products do not exceed the VOC limit for the private office, school classroom and single-family residence scenarios. The emissions testing was performed over a period of 14 days for Super SAM® 125, SubSeal® Liquid and NAC TAC II primer, ECB®, ECB® 75, Strataflex® and SAM® 3 membranes, and they have subsequently been included into this certification as a result of their proprietary composition. The products were tested based on the most stringent modeling scenario.
