Stonepeak Ceramics achieves both product-specific EPDs and a comprehensive HPD, strengthening its commitment to verified sustainability and material transparency

Stonepeak Ceramics—the U.S. operation of the Italian Iris Ceramica Group and prominent manufacturer of high-tech porcelain and stoneware solutions—proudly announces two major advancements in its sustainability journey: the publication of product-specific Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) across its entire U.S.-manufactured portfolio and the release of its comprehensive Health Product Declaration (HPD) covering its full product range.

Together, these achievements further strengthen Stonepeak’s role as an industry leader in transparency and environmental advancement, empowering architects, designers, and builders with verified documentation to support healthier, more sustainable built environments.

Product-specific EPDs: verified environmental performance across the full lifecycle

Published by the internationally recognized Programme Operator Environdec, Stonepeak’s Type III EPDs represent one of the highest levels of transparency and environmental accountability in the building materials sector, positioning Stonepeak among the first U.S. manufacturers in the flooring industry to achieve this distinction.

Developed in accordance with ISO 14025 and grounded in the rigorous Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, these “cradle to grave” EPDs deliver a comprehensive and objective evaluation of Stonepeak’s environmental performance across every stage of the product lifecycle. This includes raw material extraction, manufacturing, packaging, distribution, installation, use, recycle, and end-of-life processes.

Each declaration was independently verified and validated by an accredited third-party body, ensuring every data point meets internationally recognized standards for accuracy, reliability, and scientific rigor. This level of precision provides architects, designers, and project teams with credible, transparent documentation when specifying sustainable building materials—a core requirement in today’s design and construction landscape.

“Achieving product-specific EPDs across our entire U.S.-made portfolio is a meaningful advancement in our sustainability journey,” said Hector Narvaez, Executive Vice President of Stonepeak Ceramics. “These declarations demonstrate our dedication to transparency and strengthen our role as a responsible U.S. manufacturer committed to measurable environmental performance.”

Health Product Declaration (HPD): ingredient transparency for healthier spaces

Complementing its EPD achievement, Stonepeak has also released a comprehensive Health Product Declaration (HPD) for its full portfolio. Developed by the HPD Collaborative, the HPD is a standardized reporting format that discloses the ingredients of building products and identifies any associated health considerations.

By providing clear and complete ingredient information, Stonepeak’s HPD supports informed material selection for architects, designers, builders, and owners striving to meet health-focused project requirements, sustainability certifications such as LEED, and broader wellness goals in the built environment.

A strengthened framework for sustainability and transparency

Together, Stonepeak’s EPD and HPD significantly expand the brand’s verified sustainability platform—joining an established and growing list of certifications and validations, including Declare, LEED, ISO 9001, GreenGuard, GreenGuard Gold, and Organizational Carbon Footprint Validation ISO 14064-1.
