Miami, FL May 2025 – Nearly 80 ceramic companies from the Spanish delegation introduced their latest collections and products at Coverings 2025, North America’s largest and most significant international tile and stone exhibition and conference. Held in Orlando, FL from April 29 – May 2, 2025 at the Orange County Convention Center, this year’s show celebrated the innovation and industry leadership of Spanish manufacturers.
This year, Tile of Spain companies unveiled an imaginative range of trends that reflect the desires of today’s modern customer. Drawing inspiration from the rapidly evolving world, these curated collections offer durability, versatility and a creative departure from everyday life.
Below are highlights of the key trends from Spain on display during this year’s exhibition:
Surface Drenching
Emerging tile collections are redefining spatial design with a striking yet sophisticated approach, enveloping spaces in a unified color palette or pattern. This immersive method flows across walls, floors, countertops and other architectural surfaces, showcasing the timeless adaptability of ceramics. By combining textures and finishes from a single hue, these designs add a sense of luxury to spaces, embodying modern elegance, cohesion and minimalism.

Natural Essence
Spanish tile makers are going back-to-the-basics, utilizing nature as both inspiration and material. In response to growing environmental awareness, new tile collections are reconnecting with the Earth – both visually and conceptually.
Spanish tile manufacturers are drawing influence from raw, geological elements, mimicking the textures of stone, clay and weathered surfaces, along with organic patterns like natural striations and fossil-like imprints, creating a calm atmosphere and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Color Resurgence
The tile industry is celebrating energy, movement and bold designs through daring, color-driven collections. By blending the nostalgic allure of retro designs with the edgy innovations of the digital age, Spanish companies are introducing vibrant new lines that evoke a sense of futurism. High-impact color stories featuring intense crimsons, vibrant azure tones and luminous gold complement handcrafted forms, infusing interiors with energy, artistic expression and distinctive character.

Hues of Brown
Many Spanish companies are shifting away from cool greys and are instead welcoming the warmth and depth of earthy browns. Manufacturers are exploring the full spectrum of this natural hue, curating collections ranging in color from soft taupe and sandy beige to rich mocha and deep chocolate. This palette pairs beautifully with sustainable materials and textures, elevating eco-conscious designs while providing a lasting, neutral foundation.

Dependable Designs
In today’s fast-paced world, many are seeking a curated home that adapts to their dynamic lifestyles. There’s a growing demand for versatile, multifunctional spaces, with an emphasis on high-performance materials and reliable products. Spanish tile makers are responding with adaptable, modern tile designs that can be seamlessly installed into various spaces, optimizing functionality without compromising on appeal. Ceramic tiles also offer durability, low maintenance and design flexibility, providing homeowners with both peace of mind and a dependable solution.

Creative Escapes
With the ongoing global tragedies we face on a daily basis, there’s a growing desire to escape the intensity of the world by seeking comfort and emotional expression in design. Architects and designers are embracing maximalism within their projects, utilizing an intentional layering of color, texture and pattern to shape spaces that capture personality and energy. In response, Spanish companies are taking bold risks with their latest collections, offering vibrant colors and intricate motifs that invite a more expressive and personal experience.
