The Arca collection by Portobello America offers a refined approach to wood-look porcelain

Portobello America introduces the Arca collection, a thoughtfully designed wood-look porcelain series that interprets the warmth, texture, and visual richness of natural timber through a cohesive architectural surface system. Guided by the brand’s “Living Home” philosophy, Arca blends multiple wood inspirations into a refined material palette that supports contemporary interiors with warmth, authenticity, and enduring performance.

Proudly made in the USA, the collection features Alpine, a warm maple-inspired colorway distinguished by subtle blush undertones and a restrained whitewashed finish. The nuanced surface evokes naturally weathered wood while delivering the durability, consistency, and ease of maintenance of porcelain. The result is a versatile material suited for residential, hospitality, retail, workplace, and other commercial environments where the look of natural wood is desired without compromising long-term performance.

Designed to offer versatile architectural solutions, the Arca collection is available in 8” x 48”, 24” x 48”, and mosaic formats. This curated selection provides architects and designers with the flexibility to create dynamic installations across floors and walls. Together, these formats support transitions, feature applications, and layered compositions that introduce visual rhythm while maintaining a unified material language.

Complementing the field tile, Arca incorporates reliefs and mosaics as integral design elements rather than decorative accessories. The 24” x 48” Convesso relief reinterprets the linear rhythm of wood slats as a sculptural wall surface, introducing depth, texture, and architectural dimension. Two distinct mosaics, Angolo and Ritmo, further expand the collection’s design possibilities, creating movement and distinctive focal points while remaining true to Arca’s wood-inspired aesthetic.

Together, the collection’s field tile, decorative surfaces, and mosaics provide a coordinated specification solution that allows designers to carry a unified material expression throughout an interior while balancing the warmth of wood with the technical performance and resilience of porcelain.

“At Portobello America, ‘Living Home’ reflects the belief that great interiors are never static—they evolve with the people who live in them,” said Veronica Gripp, Brand Manager at Portobello America. “The Arca collection brings that idea to life by turning porcelain into an architectural surface system. Inspired by the natural character of wood, it offers designers a cohesive palette of formats, reliefs, and mosaics to create spaces with warmth, balance, and lasting relevance.”

By translating the visual richness of natural wood into a sophisticated porcelain collection, Arca offers architects and designers a refined material solution that combines timeless aesthetics with architectural precision. Reflecting Portobello America’s commitment to thoughtful design, U.S. manufacturing, and high-performance surfaces, the collection delivers the flexibility and design continuity needed for today’s evolving residential and commercial spaces.
