Under the title “Echoes of the Earth,” the stand designed by Héctor Ruiz Velázquez is conceived as a material-driven manifesto that celebrates expressiveness.
Decocer’s collections stand out for their material-focused and contemporary style, where small formats, reliefs, and textures are combined with palettes ranging from neutrals to bold tones.
Decocer is defined by its small-format tiles, exclusively designed and manufactured to order for manufacturers, distributors, and specifiers worldwide.
Decocer is taking part in a new edition of Coverings 2026 in Las Vegas (United States), within the Spanish Pavilion organized by ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones. The company presents “Echoes of the Earth,” a space conceived by Héctor Ruiz Velázquez, which has been awarded the Best Booth Award, one of the fair’s most prestigious recognitions. The proposal is accompanied by a carefully curated selection of collections that reinforce Decocer’s international positioning in the field of small-format ceramic design.
Ceramics as a spatial experience
Designed by Héctor Ruiz Velázquez, the stand is conceived as an installation that goes beyond its exhibition function to become a true architectural experience. Through a material-driven and contemporary language, the space explores the ability of ceramics to shape atmospheres, create spatial sequences, and engage the visitor’s sensory perception.
The proposal, recognized with the Best Booth Award, highlights the expressive potential of small-format ceramics, demonstrating how repetition, relief, and texture can transform the material into a powerful architectural resource. In line with Decocer’s philosophy, the stand is conceived as a versatile system, capable of adapting, evolving, and engaging in dialogue with different contexts.
Featured collections: material, texture, and color
Decocer’s proposal at Coverings brings together a selection of collections defined by their material character, tactile richness, and compositional versatility. Small-format tiles emerge as a language capable of shaping contemporary projects with a distinctive identity.
Eterea · A reinterpretation of marble through lightness. Available in 23×23 cm, 5×20 cm, and 8×21.5 cm formats, its surfaces balance matte and gloss to create depth without excess, providing an elegant and understated foundation for contemporary architecture.
Lythos · Stone in its essential state. With geometries in 20×20 cm, 21×21 cm, and 15×15 cm, this collection creates mineral surfaces where modular repetition reinforces its architectural and timeless character.
Mood · Rhythm and color as design tools. Its elongated 7.5×30 cm format allows compositions where relief organizes the surface while color accents introduce controlled vibrancy.
Sienna · The warmth of fired clay reinterpreted in a contemporary key. Its 5×45 cm format elongates spatial perception and enhances continuity, ideal for interiors seeking an enveloping and natural atmosphere.
Talya · Craft tradition and contemporary expressiveness. In 5×15 cm and 10×10 cm formats, its irregular, glossy surfaces evoke zellige, enabling rich compositions where imperfection becomes a language.
Vibe · Graphic energy and compositional precision. The combination of 6.5×20 cm pieces with 15×15 cm decorative tiles introduces contrast and dynamism, opening the door to more expressive solutions within small formats.
Cubik · Geometry, relief, and color in a 7.5×30 cm format. It combines pieces with geometric reliefs in matte and gloss finishes with plain bases. Its color palette—from neutrals to intense tones such as Wine, Forest, or Black—enables dynamic and sophisticated compositions.
Auralis · Artisan texture and intense glazing in a 6.1×25 cm format. Its reliefs convey strong material presence and character. The color range blends natural tones such as Sand or Olive with deep, vibrant hues like Bordeaux, Navy, or Black.
Abaco · A contemporary reinterpretation of the classic 10×10 cm in matte porcelain. With a sober and uniform palette, this collection focuses on modulation, graphic rhythm, and design through grout lines, offering clean and timeless compositions.
Atlas · A material journey to the Sahara in matte porcelain. Available in 15×15 and 5×15 cm formats, it combines understated white and terracotta bases with expressive glazed decorations in greens, blues, and blacks, creating spaces full of contrast and timeless elegance.
Argila · Inspired by the clay-like skin of the earth, with crackled textures and organic patterns that evoke traces of time. Featuring six warm, earthy tones, each piece celebrates texture and the depth of the essential, offering an expressive and authentic resource.
Water · Surfaces developed from crystallized salts and pigments that evoke the mineral texture of the sea. Its irregular reliefs and color gradients create a sense of oceanic depth. Available in four shades (Aqua, Bali, Sabbia, and Cement), it connects spaces with the energy and freshness of water.
