Michael James Soho, born on May 8, 1982, to his loving parents Daniel and Dorothy Soho, departed from this world on May 17, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love.
Mike brought joy and laughter to his family, enriching their lives with his presence.
Mike was the proud father of Caiden Soho, who he loved dearly, brother to Michelle Soho, and fiancée to Anne Jarrett, who he cherished for her devotion and support to both him and Caiden. He also leaves behind extended family.
Michael, a skilled tradesman, took great pride in his workmanship as the owner of his tile and renovation company, which displayed his artistic abilities. He was enthusiastic about music and his support for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, dedicating time to raise funds for children battling cancer. Mike loved tacos, Halloween, and dogs, especially his beloved pups, Spencer and June.
He will be missed deeply and his memory will be forever treasured by his family and friends.

Tile industry members – some who knew Mike personally, and some who were friends via the social media community and online groups he belonged to — covered Facebook with words of remembrance and grief at Soho’s passing.
“Mike Soho was at the heart of our family, respected by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him,” said Robb Olson, Footprint Wood and Stone, Lakeville, Minn. “His extensive industry knowledge, remarkable talent, and skill were matched only by his incredible sense of humor and his willingness to help others improve. He will be greatly missed.”
“Man, I carry a heavy heart today for a man I never got to meet, but we exchanged swag and had a few conversations about remodels,” wrote William Pino, Summit Valley Tile & Stone, Las Vegas, Nevada. “I’m truly saddened by your passing, may you rest with the angels, my friend.”
“We lost a brother this week,” said Ken Ballin of Skyro Floors, West Creek, N.J. “Mike was an original Tile Love Member and an incredibly talented tile setter. Every once in a while on my way home my phone would ring. ‘Yo Ken, it’s Soho.’ We’d bullsh*t about whatever project we were working on. I’m not much of a phone talker but I’d always take his call and was happy to hear from him.
“I wish I was more available. I wish you would have called just one more time. I hope you’re at peace. God speed brother. Today we raise one up to you.”
