Leading sponsors strengthen support for the 2026 Flooring Sustainability Summit

Leading companies from across the flooring industry are once again demonstrating their commitment to advancing sustainability by sponsoring the 2026 Flooring Sustainability Summit, taking place July 15–16 at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.

As returning headline sponsors, MAPEI and Daltile/Mohawk Group are continuing their commitment to the summit and its mission of fostering industry-wide engagement around responsible manufacturing, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices across the built environment.

“Sustainability is connected to performance,” noted Logan Reavis, Vice President of Technical Services for MAPEI, which has been a headline sponsor of the summit since its inception. “By working together to improve collaboration, create practical standards, share expertise, and develop innovative systems, we can help ensure that sustainable solutions also deliver the durability and reliability our industry demands.”

“We are excited to sponsor the third Flooring Sustainability Summit, an event that has quickly emerged as a forum for addressing key topics, exchanging ideas, and identifying new ways to advance sustainability across our industry,” said Malisa Maynard, Chief Sustainability Officer at Mohawk Industries. “The summit’s ongoing growth attracts industry thought-leaders and key government contacts, creating an environment to drive positive change.”

As the 2026 Educational Sponsor, Schluter-Systems is supporting professional education and programming focused on material health, circularity, supply chain collaboration, green building initiatives, and emerging sustainability tools and technologies. Many summit sessions have been approved as Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) continuing education courses by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), offering attendees a total of seven learning units.

Kali Pharand, Standards and Sustainability Manager at Schluter-Systems, said the summit continues to raise the bar for industry engagement. “Year after year, the summit has exceeded my expectations, elevating the quality of dialogue and collaboration among industry leaders. As it enters its third year, the momentum is clear, and we look forward to contributing to another impactful, forward-thinking event.”

As hospitality sponsor, Coverings is helping create opportunities for networking and relationship-building among attendees, strengthening conversation across the flooring, architecture, and design communities.

“Transformative progress happens when people from different sectors come together to share ideas, build relationships, and work toward common goals,” said Jamie Rich, Coverings Show Director. “This event provides a unique opportunity for manufacturers, designers, architects, sustainability leaders, and industry organizations to engage in productive conversations that help shape the future of the built environment. Coverings is proud to support those important conversations as hospitality sponsor.”

Co-hosted by leading flooring industry associations, the Flooring Sustainability Summit brings together leaders from across the flooring industry and the broader built environment to share knowledge, identify solutions, and accelerate progress toward a more sustainable future.
