NTCA offers a monumental number of training and education opportunities to tile installers and other industry professionals. This year, the NTCA Training Team will conduct over 300 workshops and regional training programs across the country: more than 85 regionals and 218 workshops, with requests for more on the table. NTCA also offers virtual training through bi-monthly webinars. In addition, the team regularly offers training sessions at Coverings and The International Surface Event (TISE).

Workshops
The link also gives you the option to delve more into workshops. This year, each NTCA Workshop will address one of these topics:
- The Ins and Outs of Layout
- Tile Matters: Best Practices for the Pros
- Failures: Could it be Me?
- Tile Technology: Adhesives
- Tile Technology: Membranes

NTCA’s free hands-on workshops address current issues tile installers are facing and help attendees to stay informed about the latest techniques, developments, and systems for tile and stone installations. The three-hour workshops include information related to industry methods found in the TCNA Handbook for Ceramic, Glass and Stone Tile Installation and American National Standards for Installation of Ceramic Tile (ANSI) and include live demonstrations and an opportunity to network with tile industry professionals. The typical schedule includes a vendor fair, networking, a catered meal and technical instruction. (Times vary by location. Check with the host location to verify the start time.) AIA credits will be available upon request where applicable.

In addition, when you check in through NTCA’s QR code system at any Workshop, you’re automatically entered into a giveaway sponsored by Stabila, an industry leader in precision tools. To reward your commitment to excellence, Stabila is giving away a premium set of Stabila R Beam levels once each quarter through the end of 2025.
NTCA Regional Training Programs
NTCA’s Regional Training sessions allow tile installers to receive all-day hands-on training to develop new skills using both classic and state-of-the-art tools, materials, and techniques. The topics for these solutions-based training events are based on ANSI standards and methods from the TCNA Handbook for Ceramic, Glass, and Stone Tile Installation, and use the NTCA Reference Manual for guidance.
These sessions are designed to also be a helpful aid to those pursuing CTEF Advanced Certifications for Tile Installers (ACT) exams.
Class size is restricted to 20 people so that each participant can receive quality attention to enhance learning. Topics available this year include:
- Standards-Based Installation of Gauged Porcelain Tile and Gauged Porcelain Tile Slabs
