Remembering Anthony “Tony” Noto, Sr.

March 17, 1956 – November 8, 2021

The tile industry in West Michigan lost a good friend in November. Tony Noto, age 65, unexpectedly passed away. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

Tony spent 48 wonderful years serving customers. He started his career at 17 years of age, working part-time in the warehouse at Great Lakes Sales. He spent 34 years in the operational side of the business, working for two tile companies (Beaver Distributors & Miles Distribution). In 2007, Tony made the move into sales, working for the Virginia Tile Company, where he remained for the past 14 years.

Tile was in Tony’s blood from a young age, and he was blessed to have worked with his father Nick for over 20 years.  In fact, Tony’s son, Anthony Jr., is also in the industry working as a successful installer for NTCA Five-Star Contractor Member Welch Tile & Marble, making him the 3rd generation of Noto’s in the tile business.
