Artisans Revolution in Tile (A.R.T.) training returns to Nashville this October: there’s still time to join!

Maybe you’ve read about A.R.T. in TileLetter or TileLetter.com. Maybe you’ve seen posts on Facebook — and have been wowed by the stunning mosaic creations from graduates of this class. Maybe you’ve been impressed by how traditional tile installers are integrating custom artisan work into their services, or have read about the joy artisan installers are experiencing by exercising their artistic vision. Maybe you are a member of the Tile Trade Artisans Guild on Facebook and you’ve seen posts each year about the skills, the training, the creativity, the community and camaraderie participants experience.

And now, you have a chance to join the tribe.

The 4th annual Artisans Revolution in Tile (A.R.T.) training will be held in Nashville this October 5-9. It’s sponsored by the National Tile Contractors Association and LATICRETE, with strong support from Tile Tools and Daltile.

Learn to make hand-cut, custom-art features from the masters

Lead trainers Lee Callewaert (L) and Joshua Nordstrom offer comprehensive training in exploring the creative process and learning to identify opportunities to market artisan work, methods for designing, processes, materials and tools for producing hand cut mosaic art, and best practices for standards-based installations

“Tile Artisan Training…A Revolution (aka A.R.T.)” is an intensive, four-day program designed to provide experienced tile installers with information and hands-on training to produce and install their own hand-cut, custom tile art features. In this comprehensive program, participants will explore the creative process and learn to identify opportunities to market artisan work, methods for designing, processes, materials and tools for producing hand cut mosaic art, and best practices for standards-based installations.

Lead trainers Lee Callewaert, Dragonfly Tile & Stone Works and Joshua Nordstrom, Tierra Tile are supported by a team of assistant trainers and A.R.T. advocates.

If you are an experienced tile setter with at least five years dedicated to the craft, currently working as a tile contractor/installer, and a commitment to taking your skills and business to the next artisan level, this program is for you.
