Artisans Revolution in Tile Training: June 10-13, Milwaukee, Wis.

This intensive four-day training program, sponsored by the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) and LATICRETE, is designed to provide experienced tile installers with information and hands-on training to produce and install their own hand-cut, custom tile art features. Participants will learn to identify opportunities to market custom work, methods for designing, processes, materials and tools for producing hand cut mosaic art, and best practices for standards-based installations.

This year’s edition reprises and build’s on the premiere edition of this training event that took place in June 2023. Visit these stories for an overview. Artisans Revolution in Tile Premiere Event and A.R.T. recap.

Emerging artisans learn how to bring their mosaic piece from design through material selection, templating, cutting, premounting and grouting. Each participant takes home a finished piece — and lots of inspiration!

This week-long workshop is for experienced tile craftspeople with at least five
years dedicated to the craft, currently working as a tile contractor/installer, and
a commitment to taking their skills and their business to the next artisan level. Lead instructors and master craftsmen Lee Callewaert of Dragonfly Tile & Stone Works and Joshua Nordstrom of Tierra Tile will guide and support participants as they develop their skills and their style while working with tile and stone to create hand-cut tile art.

For optimal participation and hands on experience, the program is limited to 16
qualified participants. Applications will be accepted starting on December 8th, 2024.

When approved, $1000 registration fee required to confirm your place (due by February 15th, 2024). Registration includes:
