CTEF raffles Angie Halford Ré mosaic flag at Coverings 2022

The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) is pleased to announce that it will raffle off an original American Flag mosaic created by master tile artisan Angie Halford Ré, donated by Ron Nash, President, and COO, North America, LATICRETE International Inc. The raffle will take place on Thursday, April 7, 2022, during Coverings, the Global Tile & Stone Experience, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in NTCA Booth N2862 at 3 p.m. PT.

Proceeds from the raffle benefit CTEF, enabling the foundation to continue its mission of educating, certifying tile installation professionals, and offering local, regional, and national training programs for consumers, installers, construction professionals, architects, designers, building inspectors, and sales associates interested in the sale and installation of ceramic tile.

“Education should be every leader’s number one priority, and CTEF is part of the solution,” says Nash. “Tile is not getting easier to install. Quite the opposite, tile is getting larger, technically more difficult, construction schedules are more compressed, and it’s harder to find qualified labor. CTEF directly addresses education and improving talent in the field. Furthermore, CTEF is a good steward of the money it receives as donations.”

Angie Halford Ré is the founder and owner of Unique Mosaics, LLC, a custom mosaic tile artwork studio located in South Salt Lake, Utah. A nationally-acclaimed and globally-recognized mosaic artisan, her work represents one-of-a-kind creations that stand out for their artistry, beauty, and detail.

“The value of CTEF is in the name,” says Ré. “Tile Education is a very broad term with a huge amount of opportunity to learn more to be successful in this field, and that is of the utmost importance and value, in my opinion.”

The American Flag mosaic measures 42.5” X 67” and is 1.25” thick. It is mounted on plywood and brings to life its subject through the shimmering interplay of the various shades and shapes of glass tile, stained glass, and glittery grout.

Those wanting to participate in the raffle can purchase $5 tickets starting Monday, March 21st at 7 a.m. ET until Thursday, April 7 at noon PT by visiting https://www.ceramictilefoundation.org/raffle-fundraiser and buying 5 (for $20), 15 (for $50), or 35 (for $100) tickets online.

Tickets will also be available during Coverings 2022 at the NTCA Booth N2862 where the American Flag mosaic will be on display.

Participants do not need to be present to win, and the NTCA will ship the mosaic to the winner.
