iQ Power Tools announces leadership transitions

Moreno Valley, California, February 2, 2021iQ Power Tools, manufacturer of premium power tools with integrated dust collection technology, has announced major promotions within top company management. Paul Guth, most recently President of iQ, is now Chief Executive Officer. (CEO). Jim Mackall, iQ’s VP of Sales has been promoted to President of the firm.

For the past two years, Paul Guth has been the President of the company, following his role as Vice President of Product Development for 15 years. A third-generation mason by trade, Paul brings over 30-plus years’ experience as a general, masonry, concrete and tile contractor, providing a realistic “hands-on” insight to all of iQ Power Tools’ designs. The transition to CEO will enable Paul to continue to focus on the company’s future growth, not only in size but in the continuous development of new and innovative product offerings.

He commented, “I am elated in the accomplishments our entire team has achieved even through this pandemic. We regrouped as a team and quickly implemented new sales and marketing strategies that have proven to be highly beneficial and allowed us to grow our business during these uncertain times. This gives me more resolve to keep challenging our talented team, providing a clear vision and continuing to build the iQ brand as we enter new global markets. In addition, I’m eager to continue bringing to market innovative, award-winning power tools that increase job site efficiency and overall safety, and focusing on educating those in the construction industry.”

Jim Mackall takes on his new position at a time of strong and sustained company growth. Since 2018, Jim has been responsible for new business development and the expansion of existing markets.

“This new position will enable me to guide our team in strengthening current relationships while recultivating past ones,” stated Jim. “Our products and services have sustained their brand equity, and we are building on that. This more administrative role will allow me to build, lead and motivate the entire iQ team. From marketing and sales to warehouse and distribution, to our manufacturing and design, infusing a steady flow of information and leadership focused on everyone’s success will be my main priority. I am energized by this challenge and look forward to guiding iQ’s continued success.”
