NTCA announces leadership transition for 2027

National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) Deputy Director Jeremy Sax will become Executive Director effective January 1, 2027. Longtime Executive Director Bart Bettiga will transition into an advisory role through 2027, supporting continuity as Sax leads the association into its next chapter.

The transition also marks the retirement of Assistant Executive Director Jim Olson on December 31, 2026, following 18 years of dedicated service to NTCA and its members.

(L. to R.) Bart Bettiga, Jim Olson, and Jeremy Sax

Olson leaves a lasting legacy of personal connection, service and commitment to the tile industry. Throughout his tenure, he has helped strengthen the relationships that make NTCA a community, bringing care and attention to the needs of members, partners, and colleagues. His welcoming presence and willingness to help have made him a valued colleague and friend to many across the industry.

As NTCA celebrates Olson’s contributions, the association extends its heartfelt appreciation for his years of service and its warmest wishes for a fulfilling retirement. His work has helped build a strong foundation for the association’s future, and his influence will continue through the relationships he has nurtured.

To support the transition, NTCA has hired Jennifer Ibe as Membership Sales & Sponsorship Manager. Ibe will assume the majority of Olson’s membership and sponsorship responsibilities, helping ensure continued service to members and industry partners.

Bettiga’s move into an advisory role will allow NTCA to continue benefiting from his experience, industry knowledge, and longstanding relationships throughout 2027. He will work with Sax and the NTCA team to support a smooth transition and continued progress on the association’s priorities.

As Sax assumes responsibility for NTCA’s overall leadership and operations, he will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff and industry partners to guide the association’s strategic direction, strengthen member value, and advance initiatives that support the success of tile contractors.

Elena Grant, currently Assistant Executive Director of Marketing & Communications and Publisher of TileLetter, will further support Sax and the association’s priorities as she moves into the Deputy Director role, while also continuing as the Publisher of TileLetter.

Under Sax’s leadership, NTCA will build on the contributions of its longtime leaders while preparing for the opportunities ahead. The association remains committed to providing the education, technical resources, and industry connections its members need to succeed.
