NAHB awards program now accepting applications  

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)’s awards program application submission period is open now through September 21 (unless noted otherwise below). The awards highlight the outstanding work and accomplishments of housing professionals across multiple disciplines.

  • Best in American Living™ Awards (sponsored by SMEG) spotlight the most creative and innovative residential construction projects in home design, remodeling, multifamily housing, and offsite construction. 
  • Associates of Excellence Awards acknowledge NAHB members and builder collaborators for their remarkable contributions to the housing industry at the local, state, and national levels. 
  • Custom Home Builder of the Year Award recognizes custom builders for their innovative achievements, professional leadership, and creativity in crafting one-of-a-kind homes. 
  • Leading Suppliers Council Spark Award celebrates the Leading Suppliers Council member of the year who demonstrates superior knowledge, expertise, and commitment to developing products and services that enhance building quality and livability. 
  • Professional Women in Building (PWB) Awards celebrate local council and individual leadership including Woman of the Year, Member of the Year, and Council(s) of the Year. Winners are featured in NAHB’s Building Women magazine. 
  • NAHB/Builders Mutual Safety Award for Excellence (SAFE) Awards Program is the homebuilding industry’s only award recognizing professionals who have made successful efforts to advance safety in the industry. 
  • The Nationals Awards—NAHB’s largest awards competition—celebrate the best in new-home sales and marketing, 55+ housing, global innovation, and NAHB Honors. 
  • Young Professional Awards spotlight young industry professionals under the age of 45 who have demonstrated leadership in their careers, their communities, and at the local, state and national level within the NAHB Federation. 
  • Student Chapters recognizes the achievements and dedication of student members, faculty advisors, and local homebuilders association members. (Submission period closes Oct. 13.)
  • Council of the Year celebrates local councils from Professional Women in Building, Remodelers, and Sales & Marketing. 
  • Council Member of the Year honors individual leadership from Professional Women in Building, Remodelers, Sales & Marketing, and 55+ Housing Industry.
