Leather Floor Protectors has launched a new line of made-in-the-USA leather floor protection pads designed to help protect tile floors and more from damage caused by furniture, appliances, and everyday use.
The company was formed after years of working with leather in a domestic manufacturing environment revealed a consistent amount of scrap material that was still good quality leather. Rather than discarding those pieces, Leather Floor Protectors was created to turn the leather into a practical product aimed at protecting surfaces.

The leather pads are intended for use under chairs, stools, furniture, and appliances placed on floors or countertops. Leather is naturally strong and is resistant to compression under weight while maintaining strength, which helps spread loads and reduce the risk of surface scratching, chipping, and wear. Compared to felt, leather holds its shape longer and provides a light grip without allowing furniture to slide freely across a tile surface. The floor protectors have an easy peel-and-stick application with industrial grade adhesive.
“Our focus wasn’t on launching a brand, it was on solving a problem,” said Nate DeHart, Founder of Leather Floor Protectors. “We were already producing leather products through our guitar strap manufacturing, StrapGraphics. Finding a second useful purpose for that scrap material made sense, especially since floor protectors are small.”
U.S.-made in Oregon
The products are manufactured in Sherwood, Ore., utilizing leather guitar strap production offcuts, allowing the company to reduce waste while maintaining consistent quality.
For tile contractors and installers, the pads offer a simple option for protecting tile floors after installation, or as a recommendation to homeowners looking to reduce wear. The product is intended to last longer and add that premium feel of leather.
The company is currently expanding availability within the tile and flooring industry.
